  • August 9th (3 spots open)
  • Sept 17th (2 spots open)

The cost of an offshore shared charter when 4 persons go is $350 per person, plus a 15-20% tip for the mate.

To confirm your shared charter request,  – either call us 978-546-7992 or use our Reservations form.

Shared charters are a go when we get 4 confirmed persons.  Until then, a full private charter will override a maybe shared charter.  So if you are thinking about it and have not confirmed yet, do so now to secure your fishing date with a giant bluefin!

As of July 18, 2018 we have no open shared charters – but if you know your dates, want to join up with someone to fish, let us know and we will try to make it happen.

The cost of an offshore shared charter when 4 persons go is $350 per person, plus a 15-20% tip for the mate.

Bluefin Tuna – Best of Season is Now!

October bluefin tuna fishing on Tuna Hunter continues to be awesome, with a mix of giants (tag and release) and smaller Bluefin (under 3 inches) for charters to take home.  All week, charters have been battling giants and smaller bluefin, taking home tuna loins for the grill and sushi.

Tuna Hunter will be fishing into November, for as long as weather allows and the bluefin are in our Cape Ann waters.  We were happy to have great father and son action this weekend – a great way to get young anglers interested for life.

Giant bluefin – over 73 inches – are tag and release.  Bluefin under 73 inches may be retained by the charter – one 47 to 73, two 27 to 47 inches. (Regulations may change!)

Tuna Hunter is fishing as long as weather conditions allow – the fishing grounds have plenty of bait , plenty of Bluefin of different sizes, and low crowds.

Bluefin Tuna Action Continues!

Giant bluefin tuna fishing on Tuna Hunter continues through the fall, for as long as weather allows and the bluefin are in our Cape Ann waters.

Yet another recent trip yielded three tagged giant bluefin.    A few days before, our charter went home with a porbeagle shark and tagged a giant bluefin in the same afternoon.

This shared charter aboard Tuna Hunter Fishing Charters in June landed the 1st Bluefin tuna in Gloucester for the 2017 season.

Congratulations to Mindy and Doarsha, as they joined up on a shared charter to battle this guy to the boat.   This giant Bluefin opens the season – and many more big fish and great angling battles to come.  Bluefin are feeding on bunker and mackerel, fattening up for future charters.
